The Green Dragon Inn at Hardraw, Hawes, North Yorkshire, has been noted for its beer, food and rooms, as well as for being the gateway to Hardraw Force, the highest single-drop waterfall in England, which was used as a film location for the 1991 Kevin Costner film, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. A Yorkshire Dales country inn dating back to the 13th century has closed due to a steep rise in energy costs.
